Hey all,

I was just reading in the new FoxPro certification study guide, that on the exam, incorrect answers are penalized, so if you don't know the answer, you are better to skip the question entirely than to answer it wrong - can anyone confirm this?? I historically at least GUESS at an answer for a 25% chance at getting it right (in a case of 1 out of 4 possible answers). I hadn't heard of this before - so I wondered if anyone else has any input on this..

Thanks!!

Tina

I believe this is the way all the MicroSoft tests work. And it makes sense. Someone who's a good guesser (and most multiple choice questions can be reduced to a couple of possibilities if you know how to take tests. This means that there's that much less to separate those who know from those who don't. Given the limits as to time and effort in taking a test, anything which helps the wheat from the chaff more cleanly is better.
