Hello,
I have a dedicated LD that I cannot send local calls out. I have made all ars analysis that expect 7 digit to go to one route pattern and send first to the regular PRI. Is there another place that I have to change for 7 digit dialing or local calls?
Thanks for your help.

I would think that a LD PRI would not accecpt 7 digits. Try 11 digits and see if you call will route.

It will not accept 7 digits. I would like to make sure that all 7 digits dialing will go to a different trunk group and regular PRI. I thought I changed the routing for all, but I am not sure all the places that 7 digit dialing is in the Definity. Is it only in the ARS Analysis?
Thanks

Have you tried doing a list trace on a call to see where/how it's being routed. This way you will have an idea of where you need to make your changes.

You can send local calls over a long distance T1. We do it here because we get better rates on our LD trunks then our local. You have to insert the Area Code into the LD trunk group route pattern for 7 Digit dialing. An example of how the route would look

TG FRL NPA PFX Del Digits Inserted Digits
1 1 949 1949

Also make sure the circuit is setup just like the long distance for instance if its a Megacom circuit. We use AT&T and route local calls over our long distance T1's.

Hope this helps.

Pick a number you are having trouble with. Then type

"list ars route chosen (Put number you are testing in here) xxx-xxxx and then try it as a 10 digit same number (xxx-xxx-xxxx). This command will show you exactly what ars route pattern is associated to those calls and will help you narrow down where your config is wrong.

My guess is you still have some old entries that are over riding what you changed. This will tell you how a particualr string of digits is routed and allow you to change accordingly.
