Anyone familiar with the C-6,M-8 caller ID units used in these systems thru Digital Ports? Can The M-8 be used on a 616 or can it only be used on a 8X24, and C-6 only be used on a 616???????

Correct. The M8 can be used on either the 616 or 824. The C6 can only be used on the 616.
