Dear All,
We are using the Matrox Rt.X100 with 6.5 and have just started using the CAPDIV Direct DV recorder. When using clips (AVI) that have been imported from this unit in hard disc mode, audio sounds like static in time line. It plays ok in Windows Media Player and Vegas 4.0. Any Suggestions ? With Thanks

What sample rate are the audio elements of your clips? Do they match the project settings?

If not, make sure you have ticked 'best rate conversion' in project audio settings.

You may also need to reduce the number of unrendered audio tracks to one (project audio settings again) and pore-render the audio.

If the rate is different, the you might be able to fix that by changing capture settings?

If this isn't the issue, then look at CODECs used for audio. The Project Settings Viewer is useful here.

Thank you for the reply..

audio id captured at 48 which is same as project.
Codec for audio is RT.X by matrox. The strange thing is that the same file can be networked to its sister pc which does not have matrox and it plays fine in premiere

Still lost!

Not familiar with RT.X. Maybe it isn't properly registered with Premiere on the problem machine? Any chance that Premiere was installed before the Matrox software?

Anyway, you're off my subject area, so I'll shut up now.
