550 not local host, not a gateway

I'm having the same problemthat other users apparently are, but only when the Cisco IOS firewall v.12.3(2) is up, which isnt good for obvious reasons. When disabled, everything is OK.
Error message,
550 not local host accupac.com(or any domain other than my own), not a gateway.

Its really driving me nuts because people are saying that the outgoing server requires authentication in Outlook properties, but is already being authenticated!

I dont know, any help would be appreciated.
Would it be my ISP's SMTP server thats the issue?
 
I am having a similar problem. We cannot send email out our Exchange 5.5 server after we changed ISP's and changed the IP address on the Exchange server.
We are able to send email to addresses that we host on our Exchange server and to addresses on our other mail server, which is an Imail server. The Imail server works fine after the change.

I disabled our firewall (Tiny Firewall 5) and tried to send an email, but we still get the following error message returned:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: testing
Sent: 12/9/2004 9:36 AM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'someone@gmail.com' on 12/9/2004 9:36 AM
The recipient name is not recognized
The MTS-ID of the original message is: c=US;a= ;p= ;l=HERMES-041209153530Z-121
MSEXCH:IMS: :EXCHANGE1:HERMES 3550 (000B09AA) 550 not local host gmail.com, not a gateway

These three email addresses are in fact good, and we have tried other addresses, but if they are not in our network, they fail.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
