Can I connect a modem to the console port of my Pix 515 for out-of-band management purposes? If so, I can't find the commands/settings.

Thanks

Al

No. I can't find any documentation on this anywhere. I can find it for routers and switches, but nothing on the PIX.

Al

What kind of Modem is it? It is the same setting as a router or switch when connecting to the console port.

Bits per second to 9600.

Data bits to 8.

Parity to None.

Stop bits to 1.

Flow control to Hardware.

But how about the settings on the PIX to answer the request?

Al

The pix doesnt need any settings for OOB. The settings I gave you should suffice for the OOB Modem.
