501 Error while communication with other SMTP Server

We have some emails we're not able to send

I get to error:

I think it's because we try HELO with the local machine name. I would now change the behavoir of Exchange 5.5 to do the helo with our official domain name.

Can someone tell me how to do this?

I solved it finally,
i changed the name of the machine in the the TCP/IP Settings on the DNS tap to the machine name and the official Suffix.
