Greetings,

I have a need to have five phones all ring at the same time, if one phone then picks up, when another call comes in, the 4 others ring and so on. What my phone support had setup was a MIX. Well I found out that I can not transfer calls between the phones since they are all the same DN yes?

The other option I believe is a hunt group which is linear. Is there a way to setup a hunt group where all the phones ring, aka not linear but whatever?

My only other option is to doll out 3903/4 sets that MCR can be setup, but I am trying to avoid that. Or are there other options?

Thanks in advance

Jason

How about 5 phones on different lines and one bell mounted on the wall - the 5 people just use call pickup when they hear the bell ring

for the digital sets

key 0 mcr 1234

for the analog

dn 1234
cls mcra

that rings all sets at the same time, when set a answers the next caller rings the idle sets... nul all the scr keys and chg the cls on the analog, then put the mcr keys back... the number can not be mixed ie, mcr and scr's on the same dn

Thanks John,

The issue with MCRA is the DN is the same on all TN's. With this setup calls can not be transfered to each other.

We are going to change over to a busy forward hunt, no answer to voicemail, and setup a pickup group.

I will then be purchasing a new dgtl card and a few more 3904's =D

yes they can be transfered, just not put on hold and picked up on another set,,, call my phone mcr 4940, i answer and transfer to 4940, walk back to the frame and answer it... that and call park both work... just lose the keysystem features... hey bubba, pick up line three... have a lot of that to overcome here a the hospital. i have maybe 1000 mcr keys and will one day get the rest of them done.. another key i use a lot is bfs x x x x, with a mcr key for me to know if your on the set i need a bfs, a mcn does no good except when it's ringing... another possible for your problem would be a hunt group, but that rings sta a then b then c etc,, not bad unless i'm station a

Ok so maybe I was not transfering correctly. I flash hooked, then dialed the other extension. Is this not correct? I received a fast busy when I tried to do so.

John I allways appreciate your responses and your participation in this forum it is greatly apprecited. Just to let you know I am not a programmer so please consider me a noob in overlays. I really have no understanding on what you just wrote. Sorry.

So in noob description, is it possible to have all the phones ring in the MCRA, but also then transfer between each other? My phone company support says no. Are they not all the same DN in the MCRA? How would you transfer then? Don't you have to put the call on hold (flash hook) to then transfer on an analog set?

I think our current setup, to setup a pickup pool, and do busy forwards will be fine. Future plans to use digital sets with mcr.
