I client of ours has deleted an individual users mailbox during a manual move process. Unfortunately the backup has failed over Xmas so there is no good backup to restore from.

Is anyone aware of any tools that can perform "mailbox recovery" similar to that which is available in both 2000 & 2003?

Hello everyone,
Need Pointers.

-Scenario-
I'm on a new job as of 10th Jan-06 & our Exchange 5.5 has been running on NT 4.0 on a Dell 2300 PowerEdge. It's also the DC. Just b4 X-mas, the HDD where the exchange folder dumps its *.edb got full, as the capacity is only 10GB. After replacing it with an 18GB HDD , the MS exchange services stopped. we only managed to start all the services except for the MS Exchg Mail Transfer agent.

For the time being, there's a RedHat linux server setup just so we can get e-mail from outside the org. Our plan now is to move to a win2K server. Anyone to advise the best way to go about this migration, we want to upgrade the DC to either win2K or win3K3 Srvr.

Thanks

It's considered bad form to hijack an old thread to ask a new question - why not just create a new thread?

Sounds to me like you've got a short-term tactical problem (the delivery on mail to the existing server) that you should sort out before you start to plan the strategic migration to a new platform.
