hello all,

i've a peculiar situation wherein for the first quarter i want the month dimension to take on 4-4-5 weeks month format and for the second quarter it should take 5-4-4 week month format. is it possible to give some kind of case or condition to accomplish the above. presently if i give 4-4-5 it takes for the entire year. how do i restrict this to a quarter.

thanks for any help!

I've done this a year ago, so I cant remember the exact details. But here's what I think I did. Also you can search the transformer help files for "locked dimension" and "manual dates"

Generate your date categories.
Remove the order by criteria
Manually move weeks around within your months to achieve the calendar that you want.

When completed, go to your dimension map. Double click each element. On the General Tab choose "prohibit automatic generation of new categories" This will stop transformer from blowing away the changes you just made.

The downside is you will have to manually set up each fiscal year in this fashion.
