I have a location with two 4690 conference phones. We have been struggling for weeks to try to get these things working properly. I finally had my on-site guy connect the device directly to the G700 and everything worked great... once he put in the correct IP addresses.
Once he starts moving away from the gateway, we start having problems. The conference room drops puts the 4690 4 network switches away from the G700. Their network consists of both Dell and Cisco switches. The 4690 doesn't work off of switch 4 or switch 3, but if he connects to switch 2 or switch 1, everything is fine.
The question is, does a "hop limitation" exist on these phones? I have been told that there is VLAN configs on any of the switches. The real rub is that 4610 phones DO work in this same area. What gives on the 4690s??
