Hi Can anyone tell me can i use the following phones on an R11i ?
4625, 4622, 4621

thanks

Those set types don't appear in CM 2.2. You would probably have to alias the set which would lead to reduced functionality.

PappaG,

4621 is the same as 4620 but with backlit display. 4625 is almost the same as 4620 but with color display. i think these can be used with cm1, being set up as 4620. 4622 is a new ip callmaster, physically almost the same as 4620 but with a second headset jack instead of handset. i _think_ it can be used with cm1 but wouldn't bet on that.

Thanks Guys

So they will work on an R11i but setup as a 4620 alias ? excuse my ignorance but CM1 this is the next version of software after R11i right ?

PappaG,

yes, at least 4621 and 4625 should work.
communication manager is a new marketing name for the old'n'good definity software, starting with r11.1. in short, cm1 is r11, cm2 is r12 and cm3 is r13.

Thanks again dwalin......so if R11 is cm1 what is multivantage i thought this was R11 ?

PappaG,

all of this is marketing crap. up to r10 definity was definity and definity software was definity software. starting with r10, it became multivantage (r10 and r11.0) and then it was renamed again and became communication manager (r11.1+). don't mind all this, release number is all you need. :)
