Hi,

We have a Avaya One-X system, which we are struggling to get new handsets for now as it is obsolete. We have 11 4621SW IP phones.

Does anyone know how we can get these phones to work with a new SIP system (such as asterix / 3CX), or do I have to buy new handsets?

Is there any way I can flash the firmware so that they become "normal" 46XX handsets?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Andrew.

I would buy an IP Office and reflash the current phones.
I do not think you caan re use then on any other system without loosing a lot of features.

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

There's something about converting from H323 to SIP on page 42 of
'4600 Series IP Telephone Installation Guide' which should be easy to find online.

@ipohead, that is only possible when it has normal firmware.
But then they need to be reflashed also.
