4621 Ghost Ringing

I have a 4621 that will receive an incoming call, go to coverage and then continue ringing. There is nothing in the display and the phone will ring until it is picked up. When you do pick it up you get dial tone.

A bridged appearance of the same line will stop ringing when the call goes to coverage. Send Calls eliminates the ghost ringing on the problem telephone.

I started by upgrading firmware to 2_9_1, replaced the phone, replaced the power supply and cabling, changed the network port and finally removed and retranslated the phone to get a new IP and virtual port. No dice. I am going to isolate the phone from the PC next but any thoughts will be appreciated.

What release are you on?
On the old Definity systems this used to be an issue with PRI lines when people disconnected while the call started and started ringing on your end.I have not come across it on new releases/gateways anymore..
The B channel would disconnect, but the D channel still presented the incoming call data to your end.

Site is 4.0.3 w/latest patch.

It is also not specific to external calls. Internal calls trip the ringing as well. Only on the one phone, though. When I replaced the phone I took the original and installed it as my own. Problem seems to be location specific.

Looks like this problem is related to off-pbx station mapping. Cropped up with patch 17722. I'm rolling back the patch to see if that clears it.
