I'm trying my best to manually set this phone up and I've run into a problem. AFter initializing, the display has stopped and the message being displayed is "DISCOVER xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" which is the address to the Medpro card. Can someone point me in the right direction?

CallServer address should be IP of C-Lan not MedPro.

Can you shed any light on these values as well:

CallSvPort?
Router?
FileSV?
802.10 ? on/off?

call server port should be 1719
router is your network gateway
file server is TFTP server (if your using it)
802.1 p/q is setting for QoS, just set to auto

1. Smovk stated that the Call Server address should be the IP of C-Lan not the Medpro...if we have multiple C-Lans does it matter which one the call server points too?

2. Would I get the VLAN ID and VLAN Test information from my network admin?

3. After I enter the information.....obviously it's bad information right now.....but I am prompted to "ENTER COMMAND"...what is it asking for at this time?

When you see "Enter Command" the phone is generally locked up. At that point you will most often have to unplug the phone, wait a few moments, and plug it back in. I have had a few occassions where I was still able to hit mute, r, e, s, e, t, # and reboot the phone.

The callsvr address can be any of the IP addresses you're using for IP Phone registrations. It will never be a medpro for any reason.

The best thing to do is to setup a voice VLAN. Dedicate a CLAN to be in the voice VLAN and put your MEDPRO in the same VLAN. I would use that CLAN for just voice and nothing else. If your network people setup and new VLAN for voice, then the DHCP setup would get that information and put it in the phone automatically.

I will definitely try these valuable processes. Thanks for the help. I will also post another thread on the outcome.
