I have an application that relays emails to the Exchange Server the application has a string in its preferences to input a user and password for authentication when i enter a user and attempt to send a message the log shows "454 5.7.3 Client does not have permission to submit mail to this server"
I tried through telnet with the same user and get the same message. I have added the user to the connections section of the SMTP properties. When i turn on anonymous authentication both telnet and the application work correctly. Any ideas why exchange is not letting me authenticate? Basic Authentication and windows authetication are being used.
