So, CCO says that EIGRP isn't supported on the SupII+

I downloaded and installed 12.2(25)EWA5.bin

eigrp works - it found my routers and setup neighbors and all is well

bug? leave it alone?

I've searched around a bit in this forum and I see others (buckweet I think) have had the same results.

At this point, I'm considering myself lucky :)

Yes you can do it.. Had a network up for over 2 years doing it. Although we did migrate to OSPF.. Both DO work.

I think the thing is they don't want you rolling it out big time, or they just want you to pay more money for the larger sup.

As you said it will work but do not expect cisco to do anything if you have a problem running eigrp, ospf or bgp on a supII + as it is not supported on that platform , . You also have to remmember that if they come out with some sort of security vulnerability or something like that that pertains to one of the routing protocols they will not patch it as it is not supported . Get a sup card like the Sup 3 or 4 that will support it .

Keep in mind they use the same IOS code tho.

Thanks guys. I'll keep your thoughts in mind. It's not THAT critical that I do eigrp on this 4506, but it's a nice feature. It's quick to fallback to static if necessary.
