Need a little help...
I have a Cisco 4500-M with eth0 configured to receive a DHCP address from my cable internet provider. I also have
this interface setup as my outside nat interface. I have eth1 setup as my inside nat interface with an ip address of 172.16.20.1. I have setup all the dhcp commands to make this router a dhcp server. I have a hub connected to eth1, then a pc connected to this hub. I can receive a dhcp assigned address from the router. Example: IP: 172.16.20.2
255.255.255.0 NO DEFAULT GATEWAY listed, it populates the DNS server that I added under the dhcp pool area and it lists my dhcp server as address 172.16.20.1. When I ping from the pc to yahoo.com I receive the Destination Host Unreachable message. When I set the pc up with static IP address, mask, DEFAULT GATEWAY and dns I can ping any viable address and get a response, so I know that my nat is working. I think the problem is that I'm not getting a DEFAULT GATEWAY coming across when I have DHCP enabled.
I cannot find a command to enter under the dhcp pool that lets me specify a default gateway. Any help would be appreciated.
