Has anyone tried the 4500 line, especially the 4507 with dual supervisors engines (sup iv)? Has anyone had any experience uplinking these to 3550-SMI switches? If so, what was you version of firmware? I'm think of trying the 4500 with a sup iv but I would like some references first. I had some bad experiences with the 4006 and I am little nervous about these lines. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

We put in a 4507 as the core to our network. it is connected to 4 3550-48 switches through gig copper and 4 more through fiber ports. We are using the sup IV modules, redundancy.

We have had most of our problems with the 3547 routers. The switch had a bug that effected our V-Lans, but that was quickly solved.

I have the 4500 SUP IV running 12.1.19(E). Works great.
