You would have to send 411, xxx-555-1212, etc., to a route patterm with a high FRL, such as 7. No one except the user that you want to dial should have FRL 7 assigned to their COR.
We want to block 411 calls too, but our switch is set up to dial "9" first. Any suggestions besides dropping "9" from the dial plan? Is there a way to see all the calls a user has made?
The first reply has the right idea. Most implementations make poor use of route patterns & tend to send most of the calls out over one only. With proper use of the partitition table & route patterns you can make the system much more flexible. I used to use a minimum of & Route Patterns in any switch I implemented even with only one trunk group. Dividing them up into local free calling, LD, 411 & 611 blocked, 911 route, etc. Do it right, you can really customize permissions for individual users easily.
