I was wondering what is the status on all the older model 402v2 when the memory requirement increases for newer releases of the IP Office updates.

What do you mean with "what is the status"?
If you have a 406V2 with PCS 7 or lower then you need to use the intermediate software 3_1_999 for reformatting the NVRAM in the IP Office otherwise the new bins will not fit and sooner or later you may have a configuration wich is corrupt.

Maybe it's the future upgrade to 4.x he's worried about.
Sadly, 4.x is a no go for pre PCS06 V2's, and some PCS07's
Funny thing though: All the PCS07's I've seen has been 64MB versions.

Is it true that Avaya will swap out PCS 7 or lower for the newer version?
