Hello,
I have a question I am hoping someone could shed some light on for me. I am currently running 3 domain controllers across my network with roughly 130 users. the company I work for purchased 3rd party software to help create login scripts so people can get there printers, drive mappings, etc. This program creates a script which launches a program that help give users what they need. The program will take all its program files, dll files, and batch files (about 13megs of files) and put them in the NETLOGON folder. Microsoft tech support was connected to a DC that was having browsing issue and some NtFrs errors in the event viewer. The Microsoft tech stated that he did not like all of those files in the NETLOGON folder and that they were probably causing the NtFrs errors we say in the event viewer. I called the 3rd party company asking if that was a way I could create a seperate share and have a login script bat file just look into that directory instead of NETLOGON. They told me that it could be done but alot of items in the batch file at that point would be manual and suggested that I get a second opinion about this issue. I would love to know what someone else thinks about this. Do you think that 13 megs of files could be causing replication issues. Any thoughts, comments, or ideas would be great.
