Can any one tell me how I can up grade my A.G.P acrd to an 3d accelrator card
I tryed in the local stores they told me that the current 3d cards will not be compatiable with my mother bord so I have to change my mother board and also my processer as it will not fit in the new mother board.

hehe, you cant upgrade the Card to 3d, you have to buy a new AGP card that supports 3d, like OpenGL and DirectX, tell me what kind of motherboard you have, also an idea but also cost effective AGP solution would be the TNT2 Ultra (must be the ultra, otherwise, it's not very good for the bucks) can run anywhere from 60$ to 150$, much cheaper than the top end 3d cards now days, but is still in the bussiness after a year of success. also what kind of chip do you currently use, if its a 486 , I'd say heck with that and buy a new system, if its a Socket 7 board, (pentium or AMD K6-2) you can always buy a new Socket7 board that supports almost all of the current technology. and upgrading to a faster K6-2 like say 450 or 500 mhtz, are usally well under 70$, I could get a AMD K6-2/350 for almost 35$, so if its a socket7 board, you'll in good shape, and I would only get a TNT2 Ultra with a K6-2 on a newer Socket7 board, mainly bacause trying to get somehting like a Geforce2 GTS to run with a K6-2 is kind of overkill for the CPU.

Karl
kb244@kb244.8m.com
<a href=
Experienced in , or have messed with : VC++, Borland C++ Builder, VJ++6(starting),VB-Dos, VB1 thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, Borland C++ 3(DOS), Borland C++ 4.5, HTML,Visual InterDev 6, ASP(WebProgramming), QBasic(least i didnt start with COBOL)
