Hey all...
just put in a brand new 3750, and did the express setup...works great until I change the IP addy for the mangement interface...even after I change the IP on the local PC that I'm using to the same subnet...It doesn't respond.

Checked the running config , and ip http server is there, the adress is right, i restart it even...no go on the SDM comming up...

Any ideas?

Thanks

Can you post the running config ? Hard to tell with what you have stated . Most people in here don't use the http interface .

If you make a change on the GUI always check it has taken on the CLI.

Anyway, when you made the change did you write it to memory?

If you did'nt and you rebooted the switch then you will only have the startup config......

I guess you went to vlan1 and added an IP Address?

Have you got the correct subnet mask applied to your PC as is on the switch......

I.e on the switch /24 255.255.255.0
on PC /24 255.255.255.0

Hey guys,
cheiftan, you're absolutly right....the Express GUI thingy does just that...The Vlan addy is now 10.0.1.10/24, and the address is 10.0.1.1/24 on the PC. I dont usually use the SDM, but the client has requested it for mino config changes...and I must admint that it works quite well on the 1841's. I rebooted, and looked in the running config, the Vlan1 changes were there, but it doesn't ever respond even to a ping, irrigardless of any port, all of wich are statically set to vlan1, not dynamic....

so???

Thanks!
