Help!

I have 3 Cisco 3550 (IOS Version 12.1(11)EA1) switches in a stack, with 2 separate VLAN's configured. The network seems to work OK most of the time, but every so often the primary switch in the stack will fail causing the network to become unusable, then come back online after a certain amount of time of it's own accord.

It appears that the routing table on the Primary 3550 is getting cleared then getting re populated after a certain amount of time, which then brings up the network again.

Any ideas on how I can fix the problem as this site is meant to be going live this Friday!

Do a show log and see if there are any interfaces going down.

Also, how the switches connected?

are u running any routing protocols... or is your configuration a static one..?..

good luck..
