Hi to All,
I'm having a problem manageing a 3524 via a browser interface. The problem is the switch keeps asking for a Username and password. A password was set on the switch but no username was ever entered.I've tried no username and the password, I only get the error:
"Authorization Required
Browser not authentication-capable or authentication failed"
I can't seem to find anything on Cisco's web site.
Thanks,
Ted

Hi,

If you are asked for "Level 15" username and password on a 2950 I put no username with the ENABLE password.

Cheers

Mark

With the web interface you need to either use "Level 15" as the username as marks66 said or create a user/pass in the router using:
username <name> password <pass> privilege <0-15>

if you have an enable password set on the switch, you can simply type it in the password field of the web login. Don't use a username, only the enable password.
