I have a pile of 3548 and 3524 switches in my environment. I also have 13 POE access points. I'm looking to get rid of all of the mid span POE injectors, and was looking at the 3524-PWR switch. But, in reading some of the Cisco documentation, that series does an automatic detection to sense a connected IP phone before turning on the power to the POE port. There appears no way to tell the port to turn it on without it doing the algorithm check.

Will this work with POE access points? I don't want to fork over some cash for one of these if it's not going to do what I need it to do.

Thanks!
