I haven't worked on a 3300 in quite some time. I have a simple question. Where do you program the access code for a speed dial button? I'm thinking the Feature Access Code form like a 200.

Thanks

There is no "Access Code"

A speedcall can be any sequence of digits from Single digit 0 to 7 digit 9999999 as long as it does not conflict with any other numbers.

speed dial button was the question as I read it. So either put the whole number or another speed call number into the cde speedcall entry for a button in the multiline set keys form.

Speedcall keys can be programmed from the set itself to any unassigned line key.

Thanks guys but I think I need to clarify what I'm asking and what I need to program. I'm ordering analog phones for the guest rooms. Each will have 5 speed dial keys for internal and external services. The phone manufacturer is asking me what the speed dial number should be for each speed dial key. According to what kwbMitel, there is no access code. According to wireman, the speed dial button can be programmed in the multiline set keys. I accessed a 3300 in the field and checked System Speed Calls and Multiline Set Keys. The guest room phones at this site also have 5 speed dial keys programmed on them. In the System Speed Calls form, I programmed the following System Speed Calls:
*24106 Messages(VM pilot ext)
*24107 Housekeeping (internal ext)
*24108 Reservations (external number)
*24109 Wakeup Calls (VM pilot ext)
*24110 House Host (internal ext)

Each of these represents 1 speed dial button on each guest room phone. When I check the Multiline Set Keys form, I do not see any of the digits above. the *24 is what I thought was the speed dial access code. But, apparently, there is no access code. With that said *24106 is just a system speed call. If I have the analog phone manufacturer program the string *24106 on speed dial key 1, it's just going to call the actual number listed in the field Actual Number in the System Speed Calls form correct?

I can do away with *24 and program a unique 0 to 7 digit number as kwbMitel pointed out as well correct?

If you are using Teledex or Telematrix or some other brand of analog sets in the rooms just program the actual digits for each of the 5 numbers you want to dial when pressing the phone speed call keys. You don't need to use the system Speed Call form for this. If the pilot number for voicemail is 1000 just program that number in the phone on speed call key 1, the same for the other keys, just program the extension number for the department being called The programming for the speed cal keys is stored in the phones, not the 3300. For the Reservations key program it just as the guest would dial it, 9or81800xxxxxxx. Just give the manufacturer a list of the 5 actual numbers being called and they will pre-program the new phones for you.

Thanks for your reply SXWizard. Yes, I understand that but the problem with the external numbers, at this time, is that I have not yet received all them because the property doesn't have them yet. I plan to program system speed dials and give them to VTECH in order to get the order moving. I can add the Actual Numbers to the system in near future.

@Crich01

On the 200 the speeddial access code is quite often *24 and the Bin Numbers 101 thru to 110

On the 3300 simply program the speedcall as:

*2410X with actual digits that match the destination

For everyone else that was not quite following this

The buttons programmed are on analog devices and are typically set to those values at the factory. Reprogramming those keys is not a viable option in the field as it has to be done from the phone and would take many hours. A colleague of mine once did this for me and came back after several hours with bleeding fingers. YnotPhone if you're reading this, thanks again.

*24 is a typical default feature access code for speed calling on the SX-200 (Feature number 24)

The 200 has 1000 speed dial bins numbered from 000-999

The 3300 equivalent is to simply program the speedcall using the full number *24XXX

kwbMitel, that scenario is exactly what I'm working on avoiding.
