How can I tell if I have 32 bit or 64 bit?

Right click My Computer > Properties > Performance tab

What does the XP CD say?

Quite frankly the 64-bit version of XP is relatively rare. You would most definately have noticed by now if you were using this version because of all the compatability issues you would face.

Sorry...momentary loss of orientation...that's for 9x, not XP...

carr,
You had the right idea.

Open Windows Explorer (not IE), and click Help, About Windows.
