can someone please explain the 32 and 64 issues:

how do i know if my pc or OS is 32 or 64 bit. Sometimes i install software thats fails because of the incorrect bit application compatibility issue

To find out if you Processor is 64-bit, right click My Computer and click Properties. Then look in the "Computer" section at the bottom of the window. If it says "64", "64-Bit", "x64" or "EM64T" anywhere, then it's a 64-Bit Processor. If not, it's a 32-Bit Processor.

It should also say at the top of this window whether the Windows version installed is 64-Bit or not:

"Microsoft Windows XP
Professional
..." = an example of 32-Bit Windows XP

"Microsoft Windows XP
64-Bit Edition
Version 2003" = an example of 64-Bit Windows XP

our pc's only shows OS and SP version.

But why having problem installing certain applications that is 32 bit???

you might beable to find out by going to start > run and then type in "dxdiag" that shows a bunch of info about your system.
