I have a windows 2000 server that runs DHCP and DNS. All the users on the network can get thru on internet and can see each other with NO PROBLEM.

The wireless client DOES NOT get an IP address at all. When the router has the DHCP turned on, the wireless client was fine, but I had to turn it off because I want to use windows 2000 DHCP Services.

How can I get the Wireless client to get an IP?

It was getting an IP when the router has DHCP turn on, but since I turned it off the wireless client does NOT get an IP no longer.

Any suggestions?????

THANK YOU

You have to setup your router or a server as a dhcp relay agent. Routers do not allow broadcast traffic to pass through them.

If I setup the Windows 2000 Server as a DHCP Relay Agent, will that work?
I canot turn on the DHCP Server on the Router, because I have services setup on the 2K server that are needed and DHCP has to be located on that server.

THANK YOU
