it just gives 2 beeps and freezes on e-machine screen
what should I do?

2 beeps is an indication of memory parity error. Reseat the memory and try it or replace the memory with known good chips.

This is not neccessarily correct... but I do know that the beep codes are related to what kind of Bios you have. Eg an Award or Phoenix...Each has different beep codes. If you still are in warranty with your vendor, you should call tech support.... Otherwise let us know what type of Bios you have, and you will be able to get a generic indication of what is wrong. I have only heard of Memory problems being indicated by 3 beeps, and Power problems being indicated through 2 beeps, hope this helps
