I just received my Catalyst 2950-T switches with IOS c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121.11.EA1 installed. I am trying to downgrade to
c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-9.EA1d, which is what all my switches are running. TFTP upgrade fails, will not put new file on switch. X-modem upgrade will copy the .bin file to the switch, but fails on boot. I have enough room to install the files on the switch. I am a newbie, but my expert co-worker has the same problem.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Gayle

Usual problem with this is the subtle differences between 'l' and '1' and 'I', full stops, commas, hyphens and underscores, but I cannot see any errors in the filenames as you have types them.

I have looked at Cisco's website & can find no notifications about problems with this software change. It might be worth erasing the flash on one of your new switches and loading the IOS into a cold box, but it is probably better to enlist Cisco's aftersales help by raising a case with their TAC.
