2950 SPAN commands

Hi All,

I am attempting to configure SPAN on my Catalyst 2950.

I am using the following command

monitor session 1 source interface F0/1 tx

However it errors out saying "Invalid input detected..."

Can anyone tell me what is going wrong here.

make sure you are entering the command from the correct mode

in this case you should enter the command in global configuaration mode


switch#config t
switch(config)#monitor session 1 interface f0/1 tx
switch(config)#
