I have a Cisco 2924 with fibre uplink but I ran out of room - too many users.

I've stuck a 1924 with UTP uplink onto it by putting a straight cable from port 23 of the 1924 (first of 2 100mb/s ports) to port 22 (last of 100mb/s ports) on the 2924.

Users on both of those switches have speed issues, they freeze with solid network activity for ages, port 22 of the 2924 is orange not green (is it supposed to be?).

Other users in the co are not experiencing major probs so I think its confined to just these switches. Anyone?
