Hi Gaudior,
I don't know for certain if this info is correct or not. BUT I believe I read it somewhere, so please do *not* take it as gospel truth!
Ok, I *believe* the 2626 is a layer-2 switch with basic layer-3 functionality. This functionality extends to cover inter-VLAN communication.
On the premise that the above is correct, you define your VLANs with different subnets. Your router is also on its own subnet (don't think VLAN though... necessarily).
Now you can configure the 2626 switch such that the port the router connects to can *talk* to the other VLANS.
Then you configure the default (internet) gateway as the address of the switch port on which the router is connected to.
-- I apologise if I lead you astray with misinformation, and I assure you that this is surely not my intent. I am in the process of reading up on VLANs and have a slightly similar situation (or I want to implement one) just on a bigger scale.
Cheers -- please keep the thread posted with your experiences, trials and tribulations as we all learn from reading them.
Cheers - Chris.
NB: Have you got a firewall?? If it is not integrated with the router, then I would reccomend that you look into it
