Costs for CallPilot mailbox upgrade are outrageous. Looking to install an older vmail that uses analog ports.
1. Any way to light message lights / turn them off from a single line port?
2. Can M3904 sets send dtmf to a single line port? (I can check this on-site)
3. Anything else I need to be aware of?

I'm sure the PBX (11C rls 25) will not "dial" into the vmail, but I can work around that.

I can also have the vmail call each set periodically in place of lamps, but this is not optimal way to do it.

Customer has CallPilot that will stay in place for 1st 100 users, so this box will have minimum amount of users.

Thanks!

Look for a Voice Bridge it is the go between for the mail and the PBX for turning on and off lights.

There are other VMs besides Mermail and CallPilot that work with M1s and I'm sure many are cheaper - I won't recommend anything because I only have forsthand experience with one so I can't compare good or bad points.

Are you wanting to use analog ports just because you have them available? I ask because I'm using a Centigram (Mitel) programmed like 2616 ACDs off of digital cards. True, this isn't integrated, but it works, lights the MWI lamps, outpages, faxes, etc., and has been quite reliable.

I want to use analog because i have them in stock. Thanks for answering guys. I have a meeting with the customer this morning and wiil offer him the analog with no MW lamp capability, instead it will just voice call each user. His other alternative is to upgrade the call pilot or find a new vmail.
