2420 Phnes Used As CallCenter Phone? 1

Good Morning - I have been receiving conflicitng inforamtion on the 2420 sets. Can these sets be programmed for a CallCenter ACD enviroment. Allows - Agent Log-in, View Stats, etc? Is there any other hardware that is required with the phones? I have one BP tell me that you can use a 2420 for callcenter, then when one of our Admins went to training class the Trainer said you could not use a 2420 for ACD/CallCenter enviroment? Help! Thank You!!! JAS
 
As far as I know you can program almost all sets to be used in a Call Center environment. I used a 2420 as a call center phone at one point. The only setback is the limited number of buttons that you can use. If I remember correctly the 2420 has 3 pages of buttons. You will have to try to program as many Call center features (AUTO-IN) on the first page so that the agent doesnt have to toggle between pages. The callmaster sets are the best option but you can use an 8434 which work just as well.
