I have built a maintenace plan that is quite basic and generic. It is set to execute against all database on the server. It covers the basic functions backup, integrity and optimizations. I set all my basic servers databases to simple model and do not worry about the transaction log backups. I would like to implement and replicate the functionaly across multiple servers at least our smaller and simple configuration servers. Is there a way to script out the maintence plan so that it can ported to a new server?

Nope. The maintenance plans are SSIS packages and need to be built by hand for each server.

You can build a package in the BI editor and then deploy it to each server (which would probably be easier than manually making one for each server).
