Ive got 2 2003 dc's and 5 citrix servers. i have 95 per user ts cals

do i need to install ts licensing on the DC and install the cals on here (as per w2k) or do i install on a terminal server ?

im slightly confused as i installed ts licensing on a dc, went to change the licensing mode, and all i had was remote admin mode (i have remote admin enabled), however, when i look at my ts config on a terminal server, i can change to per user/ per device mode without having ts licensing installed

ive read ths ms white paper, but its not clear the way it was in w2k

Microsoft recommends installing the CALs on a DC, but you can if it is easier for you put all the CALs on a TS box and point each of your TS Servers to that License Server. refer to MSKB 279561 for details.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Mark
