I inadvertantly did a DCPROMO on a 2k3 SBS server and have lost most of the snap ins. MS wants a clean rebuild, 2 questions...... Any better ideas? Or can I move the ad and fsmo to a 2k3 server and bring back the SBS after a rebuild?

Any better ideas than Mr Bill's? Uh - no. If you want it supported, do what they say.

In theory you could do the tail end of a swing migration. But I'm betting you're better off following what PSS recommends.

What about the idea of moving AD to a swing server while I rebuild the SBS,will that work?
Any suggestions would be better than a total rebuild and re-migration.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. You could roll things to a swing server, then follow
