Hey, kinda new to Exchange 2003. I have a 2000AD Enterprise and 2003Enterprise server with Enterprise Exchange 2003 sitting on top of it. Setup Exchange and am able to send and recieve mail fine.
Problem arises it the fact that the enterprise network was setup as a OLD.local namespace! I am changing to have all the name spaces that we own to be hosted 'in house' and point to this network and want to have the exchange server be able to run mailboxes in this NEW.net names space. The obvious issue is that it would be a bear to redo the DC's and repoint all the internal workstations to a new domain name. Can I have my MX record pointed to this server and have the server host multiple names spaces of email? Do I have to make a child domain?
What is the least ammount of administrative burden, be it that there are sites out of state?
Is it easier that the name spaces are actually the same with different endings?
WOLM.local
WOLM.NET
