HI,

Currently we have a 2003 domain with a 2003 domain controler (active directory), a 2003 exchange server and two remote 2003 servers with active directory for local authentication.

We are about to implenent a 2003 server running as a terminal server.

At present we do not have any licence servers installed or running. I know when we add the terminal server we will need to stat the licence server.

Will this cause us any problems (or has anyone had problems doing this once the domain is up and running).

Do we need to start the licenceing services on the remote servers (the terminal server will be at our main site)

Many Thanks

TS licensing is seperate from windows server licensing. Just put it on your domain controller. There will be only one TS license server for your domain. Been a while since i have set one up but i think you get 90 days to register the license server with the MS clearing house before it stops issuing temp TS licenses.

hope this helps,

Yeah, you have 90 days for the licenses. I haven't registered all my licenses yet even though I paid for them and it's been about 2 months with no problems.
