I have IE6.0.2600 installed on a 2000Pro (SP4) PC with ISDN, and have connection difficulties.
Most of the time (95%)I can get a connection at either 64 or 128k, but within 5 > 30 minutes the connection (which is still up) becomes inactive. if I try to load or refresh a page, there is short >5 second burst of connection activity (both ways), then nothing. things stay like this until I dis & re-connect.
I have NIS2004 installed which shows no problems (after full scan), and have used all the usuall tools (Spybot, Hijack,CWS Shredder.......) all to no avail & my ISDN TA & cable "seem" OK?
Someone mentioned a damaged TCP/IP stack, could this be the culprit, and if so how can I replace/repair it.
I would really like to solve this problem without having to do a fresh install, as I have about 75Gb on my HDD.
Any advice would be VERY much appreciated
