I'm in the last steps of migrating to Exchange 2003 on a new Win 2k3 server. The old box was a Win 2000 with Exchange 2000. The issue I am getting is that all outbound e-mail is still routed out the old server (I assume incoming is also routed through the old server). I have all setting migrated (copied) to the new server but when I go to change my setting on my firewall (simply change the ip of the rules) outgoing stops, incoming is okay.

I send through a smarthost (when I try to configure the SMTP connector with the smart host nothing is deliverable only works in the SMTP VS – But the old 2k server is using the connector smarthost.)

Any help would be great! Thanks!

Also, the smtp connector is no longer configured for smarthost. I forgot the server share that connector.

And, I have message Journalling turned on - it is only getting incoming mail messages. Outgoing I assume are on the old server.
