Hi everyone, hope someone has come across this problem before.
I have a client who is migrating off NT4 DHCP to 2k DHCP. They are also creating new subnets for these users to attach to.
The problem is they have a number of machines that will require static IP addresses and there will be corresponding firewall rules to allow them certain access through it. The client will need to hit the ground running with their IP and firewall rule in place when they first get onto the new network so I can't just let them pick up a DHCP address and reserve it since the firewall rule needs to be already in place.
I can get them to provide me both the MAC address and the IP address they want together, but my question is is there a way to take that info and import it into DHCP?
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. - mike
