We are installing the following and would like some advice.
Linking 2 sites with Cable modems at 3meg and fixed IPs
Site A will answer for Site B which has 6 analog trunks.

1. Is IPSec required? What is recommended?
2. What commpression level should I set?
3. What voice quality can we expect?

No need to set IPsec
You can use autoselect compression or G.729. My suggestion is use G.729
The voice quality is depending on the data flow of your WAN.

go get yourself some cheap vpn routers like netgear and set up a vpn between sites, its less expensive and works great. For little jobs like yours I use them all the time.

The FWG114P is good because it has wireless and 2 VPN tunnels. No crappy fixups and other garbage to deal with.
