I have 2 pc's, P3/1.2ghz, both running XP, 512 RAM, 40gb drives etc. Both are rebooting automatically, then they display a screen with options to boot into safe mode, choose last known working configuration and start normally. No matter which I pick, the pc will get to a random point, and reboot. I thought it was a BIOS issue since these were both running W98se and reformatted/upgraded so I upgraded the BIOS. The RAM tests ok in both units.
Both units were ok for about a month, then the problems started. The users swear they didn't do anything.

What can I do to get these units working normally?

Thanks in advance.

Bob:
I ran the Recovery Console, chdsk /r as you indicated. It ran to completion, fixed the bad sectors, but the PC still randomly reboots.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
