I am right now using DSL 1 with 192.168.0.1 IP and 203.172.11.21/25 DNS. I am able to have internet connection on my Server and PC1 and PC2. I set the GATEWAY of PC 1, 2 and Server as 192.168.0.1 (IP of Linksys Router) and the DNS as the DNS of DSL Provider 1.

What I want to achieve is to have another Internet connection with another company for backup. This will theoretically go into LINKSYS Router 2. I can configure LNKSYS Router 2 to have an IP like 192.168.0.150 so it would also be seen in my Network.

My question is: Can Win2K Server be set so it can use 2 Gateways and 2 DNS? So it one goes down it will automatically go to the NEXT available DNS and GATEWAY.

Please let me know ho to do this.

Thank you very much!

Francis

if you go to your network properties, and TCP/IP properties click in advanced, there you will se a box, where you can put your gateways (differents) and there will be a tab also for DNSs. A+, MCP, CCNA
