Hello:
I have FoxPro 6.0, and a client with a 2.6 app. Can I bring it into 6.0 and, while not adding any features to the app (just minor changes to reports and menus/screens), save it back to the 2.6 format? Or do I have to get 2.6 to deal with this? The client is not interested in moving the app to 6.0, because they have already contracted someone to rewrite the app.
TIA,
-Dennis

1. You cannot port the 2.6 application to VFP 6 though the building of application works as earlier updates.. I mean 2 to 2.5 to 2.6 versions. There are many changes in VFP 6 and very rarely, an application will work staraight forward.
So attempting to recopile the 2.6 in 6 ver and get results same way is well almost impossible.

2. You acnnot convert and then go nack also.

3. You can use VFP 6 create your new forms and work on 2.6 database. But be careful in keeping the database format in 2.6 way.
